Masterclass Details
Dates: 2nd - 3rd - 4th October 2026
Times: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (with a one-hour lunch break)
A kitchen area is available at the studio with fridge that you can use to store some food.
Throughout the day, we’ll keep you topped up with tea, coffee, and a selection of biscuits to keep the creativity flowing and the atmosphere cosy.
Day 1:
- Video presentation by Alberto
- Hand-tossed slab preparation
- Applying coloured pigments
- Hand-building delicate square filaments
- Exploring texturing techniques with power tools
Day 2:
- Mastering stone texture techniques
- Experimenting with organic materials on slabs
- Building a cube with “cookie” texture
- Constructing flat filaments and assembly techniques
Day 3:
- Creating rectangular filaments
- Applying pigments and exploring construction variations
- Kiln opening and group discussion of final results

Cancellations and Refunds
We understand that sometimes plans change. If the you are not able to attend the course, please inform us by email at least 2 days before the course start date.
If we are able to re-sell your space, you shall only be liable for an administration fee of £20.
If we are not able to re-sell your space, the following shall apply:
- Cancellations made within 10 days of the start date will be non-refundable.
- Cancellations made within 11-30 days of the start date will be refunded 50% of the Fee.
- Cancellations made more than 30 days in advance of the course start date will be charged £20 to cover administration charges and the balance of the Fee refunded.
Please note that missed portions of any multi-day Course cannot be carried over to any other Course.
- Changes and Cancellation to Courses
Pottery Gagliano School may cancel this Agreement at any time and for any reason whatsoever. If the Agreement is cancelled by Pottery Gagliano School, the unused portion of the Fee will be refunded to the Customer.
If for any reason a specified teacher is unable to run a Course, then Pottery Gagliano School will do its best to provide another suitable teacher. If this is not possible,
Pottery Gagliano School will, at its sole discretion, either (i) reschedule the Course or (ii) will refund the entire Fee for that Course.
The Customer/Participant acknowledges and agrees that Pottery Gagliano School reserves the right to replace any teacher of a Course without notice to the Customer/Participant at any time prior to that Course without any liability arising from such a change except in accordance with these Terms.
